Enjoyed lunch here and everything we had was amazing! We got to enjoy the beautiful outdoor views of the ocean during our lunch. This cafe is attached to a hotel, just around the back, it has a very cute island vibe as your walking in, with lots of outdoor seating - I didn't see any indoor seating available so keep in mind that you will have to sit outside. The Jalepeno hush puppies were a favorite! We also had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer- which wasn't my favorite. I had the Mahi tacos with the tortilla soup - 9/10 it was so good! And I had a frozen margarita. I would opt for a margarita on the rocks next time, the frozen wasn't my favorite and it melted immediately since we were outside at lunch time. Overall our experience was good, the food was great and the outdoor island vibe was perfect for our vacation!

Had several fantastic meals at Cafe on the Beach, my favorite restaurant in South Padre Island. Me and my sister came here to celebrate her 60th birthday and we had come to Cafe on the Beach 3 years ago when we were here. I have never had a bad meal from there whether it's breakfast or dinner it is always fantastic! The service is always good. We had Lindsay a couple times and she was awesome! Very attentive and friendly. And of course how can you go wrong with the ambiance overlooking the beach. Parking can be a little tricky because it's part of a hotel but if there's not enough parking in the parking lot there is street parking. For dinner I had fried shrimp and homemade chips, with a Caesar salad. My sister had a chicken dish with mushrooms, a baked potato and veggies. I apologize for not knowing the name of it but it was delicious! We went there for breakfast twice and I had an omelet with hash browns and it was really good! We also went there one night for appetizers We had spinach dip with tortilla chips. Every time we eat there it is consistently delicious! They also have fantastic specialty coffees. I had the Jamaican which consisted of dark rum and Kahlua. And the Irishman which of course has Bailey's in.it. If I ever come back to South Padre Island I will definitely be going back to Cafe on the Beach!

Decor/service: nice location near the beach. The staff was friendly and food arrived quick. The birds were an issue as they were quite aggressive at trying to steal food.4/5 Eggs Benedict- cooked well as both eggs were beautifully runny. The English muffin was on the hard side 4/5. Hash browns were the best we had on the island. Nice and crispy
